Start a session
Choose New Session from the home page, then set bowlers, games, format, recording mode, and scoring rule. If no bowler exists, the app can create a default bowler when the session starts.
Start a practice plan
Open the next-practice focus on Home, enter Lane Lab, and select a bowler. Save a suggested focus or create a plan, choose its game count, and tap Start Practice. After the linked session is completed, its result appears in Practice History. With a small sample, Lane Lab stays at the baseline instead of treating missing roll detail as poor performance.
Why some scores wait
In traditional scoring, a strike needs the next two rolls as bonus rolls and a spare needs the next roll. A strike or spare in the tenth frame adds bonus rolls, so a game may need more rolls before the final score appears.
Choose a recording mode
- Quick mode: best for fast pin counts or final-score entry.
- Standard mode: best for roll-by-roll pins and exact leaves.
- Professional mode: best for practice review with ball choice, line, speed, pocket, and notes.
Ball statistics look incomplete
Ball performance depends on selecting a ball for each roll. Rolls without a selected ball are not counted toward a ball’s performance. Professional mode can reuse the previous ball to reduce missed selections.
Backup and restore
The Settings page can create a local backup and restore or merge a backup. Backups are useful for migration and safekeeping; only import files from sources you trust.
Exports
Session details can export a scorecard image, PDF report, or CSV data. CSV is best for spreadsheet analysis, while images and PDFs are better for sharing or archiving.
Data troubleshooting
- Check whether filters are hiding history or statistics.
- Confirm whether a session is complete; unfinished sessions stay on the home page for resuming.
- When the sample is small, the app prioritizes sample-size guidance instead of strong practice conclusions.
- Create a backup before deleting data or restoring from a backup.
