Metal Weight is built around offline calculation for metal weight and quotes. This website is static and does not provide accounts, forms, comments, uploads, or payment entry points.

Data Storage

Projects, material items, quote fields, custom materials, settings, exported files, and backup files are stored locally on your device by default, or in a location you choose.

Data Collection

The app's core features do not require an account, login, server, or network connection. The app does not actively collect, upload, sell, or share your project data, quote data, or custom material data.

Export and Backup

When you export PDF, CSV, or JSON files, you decide where to save, manage, or share them. Handling by recipients after sharing is outside the app's control.

System Capabilities

The app may use system file picking, saving, and sharing features for import, export, and backup recovery. Choosing or sharing files is controlled by you.

Material densities, common reference specs, and calculation results are for theoretical weight estimates and quote assistance only. They are not an official database, complete standards library, or engineering acceptance conclusion. Formal use should be checked against current standards, drawings, supplier data, and professional judgment.

Calculation Responsibility

You are responsible for checking input values, units, material density, waste rate, tax rate, pricing unit, and exported content. Deviations caused by input errors, standards differences, material tolerance, supplier differences, or use-case differences should be evaluated by the user.
